About
I’ve always had an on-and-off casual passion for photography starting in 2005 when I begged my parents for the latest and greatest in smartphone technology: a Samsung with a 1.3 megapixel snapper. For a while, I thought this was the end-all-be-all. A few years later I upgraded to a Casio point and shoot that I borrowed but came to a sad realization, it couldn’t produce that bokeh I was used to seeing in magazines and movies. I’d have to step up to very expensive bodies with expensive lenses I could never afford if I wanted any of that. Frustrated, I didn’t pick photography back up until my student days when I used my friend’s EOS 100D. I then bought my very first camera: the Sony A7S, and I’ve had a hard time letting go since. Nowadays I consider myself brand agnostic and try out as many cameras as I can. From full frame to micro four-thirds, from digital to film.
I enjoy documenting people in whatever form that takes. Street, travel, portraits, anything in between. As a means of expressing emotion, for them but also myself. I consider myself a first year student in a lifelong journey and this site mainly serves to document that journey and growth. I also enjoy educating others as I have taught myself, and share my personal opinion when it comes to lenses, bodies and purchasing decisions.
